The Keris Collector follows a simple approach:
OBJECT → EVIDENCE → PEOPLE → PLACE → HISTORY
An object is rarely interesting only because of what it is.
Its materials may tell us something about craftsmanship.
Its form may suggest regional relationships.
Its fittings may reflect fashion or status.
Its ownership may reveal movement between families and places.
Its surrounding stories may preserve memory, exaggeration, misunderstanding, or sometimes all three.
The aim is to connect those layers without pretending the evidence says more than it actually does.

A feature may support several explanations, and a compelling story is not automatically the correct one.
That tension between observation and interpretation sits at the centre of The Keris Collector’s work.
